Go HERE to read Cathy's dizzying account of a fantastic and fiber-filled Twin Cities weekend. (exhausting yet wonderful :)
My fingers were smashed in a garage door over the weekend, so typing and knitting are not high on my 'fun' list at the moment. So far, bruises are getting lighter and I still have all fingernails!
Lately I've been having trouble sticking to any project. As proof, I'll fess up to another project recently on the needles.
I thought a simple yet beautiful Wollmeise sock in the Susanne colorway would help. The leg is nearly finished. When I tried it on, I realized it's about 4 stitches too small. Would you rip it out and begin again, or keep going and gift the socks?
Two news items for today:
1. The Bohus sales previously at Kimmet Croft yarns is now StageCoach Yarns. In fact, the old Kimmet Croft website routes you there! Mary Jo is ready to prepare kits-- so if you're looking to knit Bohus garmets at a *slightly* larger gauge than museum pieces, go and order! They create beautiful items.
2. LR is home. Toby has claimed it for his own.

Bad garage :(
I saw your afghan at the fair - absolutely beautiful!
Garage door bites can be very nasty....
Hope you're knitting away soon. Ouch.
Yes, that cute little rascal looks very possessive of Lizard Ridge! No one's sneaking up and taking that away from him!
Me, I'd gift the sock if I knew someone special AND appreciative with skinny ankles/feet. Otherwise, Frog City.
Thanks again, Deb, for all the fiber enabling and the yarn rescue, as well as an awesome time Saturday! I had such a fun time knitting and talking to you all. When I'm next up in the Cities (sadly, not as often as I'd hope), I'll definitely pop by!
Poor fingers & lucky Toby!
The sock is so gorgeous, it's hard to tell you to gift it...
Hope your fingers get better soon.
And I would suggest you frog the socks and re-knit it. Wollmeise can take frogging pretty well. Besides, I'm sure you'll be more than happy to have a pair of Wollmeise socks that fits you well. ;-) Besides, are you willing to give your Wollmeise away? :-p
I'd rip it out and reknit because I'm in my year of greedy knitting and wouldn't want to give away such a beautiful colorway sock.
Hope your fingers feel better soon. Cuddling with your LR blanket would probably help but I think Toby would put up a fight over it.
Toby knows what's good!

Toby obviously has good taste. :)
a) sorry about the fingers -- owie!!
b) I'm with the rest: frog and re-knit. They are too pretty to give away!
I'd probably rip if you only have one leg done - unless you have a particular person in mind for them! LR looks very happy... :)
Ooh, ouch! Quick healing, I hope.
What if you made those socks into fingerless (or fingered) gloves instead?
Hope the fingers are better...sorry I didn't know, today is the first time I've been on bloglines in quite a while. Have fun at the guild meeting tonight!
