S'wanderful

Bohus! bohus, bohus, bohus.

Kimmet Croft didn't show at MN's Yarn Over this year. Last week I sent an email about a hat kit. You know, for the Swan pattern. No response. Anyone know if they're still in production?

So... I started looking through my stash. It's completely the wrong gauge, but should serve it's purpose: practice for a much, much larger project!

p.s. Connie, you're fabulous.

I think the Yarn Harlot bought hers rather recently - they must still be in production.

You are a brave woman.

May I recommend that you not buy from Kimmet Croft if they are still around? I have one of their kits that I bought a year ago, and I was/am disappointed in the quality. They had recently switched mills and the yarn was very unevenly spun - it looked like think and thin - this was the opposite of my previous experiences with Fairy Hare yarn.

The kits that we've been seeing knit up recently on the internet (Rainey Sisters, Yarn Harlot, Wendy Knits) have been from a Swedish source. I'm afraid I don't have a link for you, but you can find it if you go back to one of Wendy's earlier posts about her sweater, and I think Yarn Harlot posted about it as well, and I know any of those three would give you the info if you e-mail them. I've seen at least two of those sweaters in person, and the yarn seems to be very high quality. Hope that helps!
