Toe-up socks on two circulars! I split the ball in two, placed them into a ziploc bag with two tiny holes at one end (yarn tangle control), & tried Judy's Magic cast-on (I'm a TOTAL convert!).
The needles are huge.

If you stay, you won't miss dropping your dps hither and thither and out of the stitches, especially with knitting on the go!
Toe-up socks with Magic Cast-On...what more could a sock knitter ask for. ;-)

Magic cast on is, well, magic!! I use it pretty much exclusively when I do toe ups!!
It's always fun to experiment!
I love Boomerang! I love Judy's Magic Cast On. Now if only I could actually finish a toe-up sock I would feel all powerful.
Awesome Idea - the Ziploc thing...I want to do my next pair that way...2 at once! Wondered about the yarn management system...thanks for the idea!
