Solvig, a fabulous dyer and supplier of Bohus kits from Sweden, sent an email announcement yesterday. She now has Wild Apple kits available! With shipping, they're 1250 Sek. (divide by approx. 7 for US currency equivalent). Each kit comes with original Bohus Museum instructions translated by Susanna into English. If you're interested in ordering one, email Solvig directly.
Tiny Gauge Warning: these kits have *gorgeous* fingering weight angora/merino wool and are knit generally 2-2.5mm needles. Designs published in Poems of Color use a much larger gauge and DK weight yarns. If you would rather follow these patterns, the book recommends kits from Kimmet Croft Yarns-Fairy Haire.

disclaimer: I am not ordering one of the kits. The Large Lace Collar must be completed first!

wow - that is tiny gauge for a sweater! it is beautiful though. Is there a way on photobucket to search for a profile like you can on Flickr? maybe start there and hopefully she has some info on her profile and you can contact her....
I think it is Susan Rainey's. lv2knit seems familiar from the local blogs.
was just going to search their blog for it, and there it is - on their sidebar under Susan's gallery, if you click 'wild apples bohus' you get that picture.
definitely gorgeous.
It is I. I am lv2knit. Susan Rainey of The Rainey Sisters. I loved making the Wild Apples and have a kit for the black version of the Large Lace Collar (Swedish kit) waiting patiently for me to pick it up -- this fall perhaps? The gauge on my Wild Apples was heavier because I used the Kimmet Croft kit at that time.
Oh, gorgeous. So much money for a sweater, though. One day I will be able to justify it, probably once I've met my weight-loss goals.
I just ordered the kit. I have been so patient waiting...waiting..for this kit to come out. I have made two bohus sweaters and this one is my favorite pattern.
